This is Marion and her father Frank Chadwick. The first picture was taken at city Island in 1922 on Marions first trip to the beach. Before anyone could stop her she ran into the ocean up to her neck. When her father remarked that she looked like a drowned rat her mother decided to photograph them both. This then became an annual family tradition, always taken on their first day at the beach. All of the pictures appeared in a short story in Life magazine. Marion certainly changes over the years but her dad really remains mostly the same.

That is so interesting. A basic time capsule of a relationship, as well as sweimsuit style, hair, and makeup. Very cool!

I love it when I find this sort of image compilation and seeing the changes in styles and bodies over the years.
