John French - Fashion Photographer of the 1950s & 60s

John French (1907-1966) was an English fashion and portrait photographer. Much of his career was spent photographing high fashion models in the 1950s and swinging 60s.

In 1942 he had married Vere Denning (1910-91), a fashion journalist, who gave his photographic archive to the Victoria and Albert Museum. Many of hits prints are offered for sale on the V&A website.
