Santa Baby!

Cry baby that is. Today for our 12 days of Christmas posts, we look at uncomfortable crying kids with Santa. All these images of Santa were taken in 1948. The pictures were made by a company called Santa-graf Corporation. In 1948 the company was just a year old and was based in Chicago. They partnered with department stores across the country and charged $1.00 per photo. Not a bad business proposition.

These images show that some kids just don't like the stranger named Santa. After long waits and noise, then to be sat upon a stranger in a white beards lap, proves to be just too much for some kids. Funny, I don't think I liked this much as a kid myself, and when my daughter was young she wouldn't go near Santa or any large person dressed up in had to toe costume.
