For those of you unfamiliar with this activity, it takes place on New Years Day around the world. Sometimes it pairs with charitable organizations to raise money, other times it is held just for fun and fitness. Yes, fitness. All kinds of people don their swimsuits and plunge into icy cold ocean or lake water to celebrate the New Year. It's supposed to be wildy exhilarating for mind and body. Today we share some fun videos with you of events that happened on New Years Day 2010. Have you ever braved one of these events? They are definitely fun to watch the juxtaposition of folks in their swimsuits along side of folks bundled up in warm parkas and boots.
