For some fabric inspiration I went looking through my images and came up with these. Both of these rompers are available over at Glamoursurf, Aren't they cute? One is pink the other is turquoise. I love the way the top is solid and the bottom is an ethnic print. And there is something wonderfully forgiving about the 'bubble bottom'.
Kate Moss in a romper. The stripes are a nice effect to lengthen the torso but I don't think I'm that advanced of a seamstress that I would be able to line up the pattern of the stripes if I went that direction.
This is an image of Emily Wilkens from 1946. While its a two piece suit and jacket, it has a similar effect with the bubble bottom, but it's in stripes. I either want to do a print or a solid.
This piece is nice from the Salt Swimwear Collection at Sirene. I like black, always have, but I think I may go for a lighter color. Hmmm, maybe I'll make two if the first one comes out and fits well, black may be a nice option for an evening romper. Now off to look through my fabric stash to see what I have that may work for this.
