The year is 1938 and don't those gals look to be having lots of fun in the sun, I'll bet they are on vacation, and what a nice way to travel! I don't see any identifying makers mark on the trailer but it got me wondering what the inside of a trailer might look like from 1938. Then I found the Wallace Collection, and oh my, there are some fabulous trailers on that site. Looks like a fellow collector too, wonder where they store all of them.
The images below are from the Wallace Collection site. Go have a look.
I've always wanted a small trailer to retrofit. Wouldn't that be a fun project? Whenever we traveled as a family when I was young was mostly by car. We'd all get piled into the station wagon or Rambler and off we'd go. But this just looks like so much more fun. A gal can dream!

Love that one! I'm always looking on Craig's List and where ever, hoping to find the trailer of my dreams.
