Vintage Swimwear Advertising in the 1940s & 1950s - Let's Sell It!

You can pretty much advertise anything with a swimsuit clad beauty added into the mix. All of these ads are from 1950. Let's take a look, Kellogg's is still around, as is Barbasol, Listerine and Kodak; but Grapette, Ansco and Nash, not so much.

Alas, swimsuit clad models are still used in advertising today. You don't have to look very far to find a few bits of strategically placed triangles and a bit of butt floss. Call me crazy, but I'll choose vintage swimwear over modern day swimwear each and every time. Better coverage, better fit, better shaping, better fabrics and oh so glamourous! Not to mention there is more left to the imagination, yeah leave em thinking.
